EU INTEGRA presents the Public Call for Applications for Development of Territorial Strategies- the first info-session in Kraljevo on 14 July

The EU INTEGRA programme, within the component implemented by UNOPS, will hold the first of five planned info-sessions on Monday, 14 July 2025, in Kraljevo, at the Turist Hotel (Trg Srpskih ratnika 1), starting at 10 a.m. to present the Public Call for Applications for Development of Territorial Strategies.

The Call, aimed at interested local self-governments and regional development agencies, will be also presented at the info-sessions in Zrenjanin, Niš, Svilajnac and Banoštor in the period from 14 to 29 July  2025.

The Public Call for Applications for Development of Territorial Strategies is open until 21 August 2025 within the EU Support to Integrated Territorial Development Programme - EU INTEGRA. The programme coordinated by the Ministry for European Integration and implemented by the Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities (SCTM) and the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) is supported by the European Union with 15 million Euros.

As twelve territories have already developed territorial strategies within the predecessor EU PRO Plus programme, which was also aimed at supporting local development and preparing for the use of EU funds, the public call within the EU INTEGRA programme, implemented by UNOPS, is designed for the local self-governments that have not yet developed these strategic documents.

The development of territorial strategies will help to recognise the key economic and social potentials for the development of urban and functional areas, as well as to strengthen the capacities of local and regional actors for the application of the EU model of integrated territorial and sustainable urban development.

In accordance with the criteria defined in the Public Call, the right to participate in the competition, as applicants, has local self-governments with the status of the city. They can apply for technical support in the development of a territorial strategy independently, if the strategy refers to one local self-government, or in partnership with at least three other local self-governments and the competent regional development agency, if the strategy includes several local self-government units.

As per the Call Criteria, the applicants in the territory covered by the EU INTEGRA programme may be the cities of Čačak, Jagodina, Kikinda, Kraljevo, Novi Sad, Pančevo, Požarevac, Prokuplje, Sombor, Sremska Mitrovica, Subotica, Valjevo, Vranje, Vršac and Zrenjanin.

More information about this call as well as application documentation is available at  EU INTEGRA.
