Objective: Enhanced understanding and implementation of the European Union territorial development instruments in the context of Serbia and the development of relevant territorial strategies.
Type of support:
- Technical support in the development of territorial strategies in accordance with the regulatory framework of the EU Cohesion Policy and instruments for integrated sustainable territorial development
- Support in establishing governance arrangements for the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the implementation of the strategies along with the development of integrated investment plans.
- Support in developing capacities for the implementation of territorial development instruments
Who can apply:
- For the development of a territorial strategy focused on one city:
- Local self-government, with the status of a city, classified as an urban area - centre of integration with a minimum of 40,000 inhabitants
- For the development of a territorial strategy focused on multiple local self-governments:
- One of the local self-governments with the status of a city, classified as an urban area - centre of integration with a minimum of 40,000 inhabitants
- To meet the requirement of spatial continuity of the territory;
- To ensure partnership with at least three (3) local self-governments
- To ensure partnership with a Regional Development Agency (RDA) covering the relevant territory.
Local self-governments eligible to submit application: Čačak, Jagodina, Kikinda, Kraljevo, Novi Sad, Pancevo, Požarevac, Prokuplje, Sombor, Sremska Mitrovica, Subotica, Valjevo, Vranje, Vršac, Zrenjanin
Note: Local self-governments that already have developed strategies containing the minimum required elements in accordance with Article 29 of the EU Common Provisions Regulation (EU) 2021/1060 are not eligible to apply.
